One Question Millennials Should Ask Themselves For An Exceptional Life?

How much of the day is spent doing things out of obligation rather than interest?

Obligation refers to doing a task because you have to.

Interest refers to doing a task because you want to.

Don’t confuse obligation with commitment.

Like wine, separate the after-tastes. Obligation has a negative after-thought. It isn’t always realistic to achieve interest over obligations, but a healthy balance helps. You can’t manage what you don’t measure; doing so will change everything.

People work because they’re obliged to pay bills. They’re obliged to conform to societal pressures from friends, family, and loved ones.

But what if people worked because they’re interested in the task? What if they explored responsibilities they’re interested to undertake?

Interest isn’t static, it’s ever-growing.

Never stop finding what you’re interested in.

The world would be a better place if everyone was interested in what they did :)
